This indenture made this
first day of March A.D. 1869 by George L.
Barnes Sheriff of said County of the first part
and Eli Futch of said County and State of the
second part Whereas by virtue of a writ of
Fieri Facias issued out of the Circuit Court
of Alachua County and to the Said Sheriff de
=livered he was commanded that of the goods and
Chattles lands and tenements of Edguin S. Gunnells
he cause to be made the sum of Three hundred
and Seventy Seven 07/100 Dollars with interest thereon
and costs of suit which Eliza M. Stewart admx
lately recovered in the Circuit for Alachua County
against the said Edguin S. Gunnells and whereas
the said Sheriff by virtue of said Writ did on
the fourth day of January A.D. 1869 Levy upon
and Seize the property hereinafter mentioned
and described and did by virtue of said writs
and persuant to the Statutes in such case made
and provided duly advertize the said property
for sale on the first day of March A.D. 1869 being
the day and date of these presents and did on this day
sell the same at public auction according to
law to the said Eli Futch for the Sum of one
Hundred and Twenty Dollars being the highest
bidder for the same. Now therefore Know ye that
I the said Geo L. Barnes as Said Sheriff, by virtue
of said writs and pursuant to the Statutes in such
case mad and provided and in consideration of the sum
of one hundred and Twenty Dollars to me paid
by the said party of the second part have gran
ted bargained and Sold and by these presents do
grant bargain and sell unto the said party of the
