County of Alachua } This indenture made this seventh
day of March AD 1870 between Geo L. Barnes Sheriff
of said County of the first part and John L. Villalonga
of the County of Chatham State of Georgia of the
Second part Witnesseth, that Whereas by virtue of a
Writ of Fieri Facias issued out of the Circuit Court
for said County and to him directed was commanded
that of the goods and Chattles lands and tenements of
Charles E. Pelot and S. Annie Stewart he cause to
be made the sum of three Hundred and Thirty nine
dollars with interest thereon and cost of suit Which
Feaster and Rice lately on the 17th day of November
AD 1868 recovered in our Circuit Court against Charles
E. Pelot and S. Annie Stewart and Whereas I George
L. Barnes as sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of said
Writ did on the 28th day of January AD 1870
levy upon and seize the property hereinafter des
cribed and did by virtue of said writs and pursuant
to the Statutes in such case made and provided
duly advertise said property for sale on the 7th
day of March AD 1870 and did on that day sell
the same at Public auction according to law
to John L. Villalonga for the sum of Four hun
------------------ =dred and Ten Dollars, being the highest sum bid
50ยข US R for the same. Now there fore Know ye that I the said
Stamps Caclld George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of
------------------ said Writs and of the Statutes in such Cases made
and provided for and in Consideration of said sum of
Four hundred and ten Dollars to me in hand paid by the
said John L. Villalonga party of the second part
have granted bargained Sold and by these presents
do grant bargain and Sell unto the said John
L. Villalonga party of the second part his heirs
and assigns forever all the following property to Wit.
Section Twenty (20) Township nine (9) Range
Nineteen (19) South & East to gather with all the
rights tittles and interest, Which the said S. annie
Stewart had of in or to the same. To Have and To
Hold as fully as I the Said George L. Barnes
as sheriff as aforesaid Might Could or ought to
sell the same Given under my hand and Seal this
the 7th day of March AD 1870
