made the fourteenth day of January in
the year of our Lord, one Thousand
Eight hundred and Seventy Between
Archibald K. Mixson of Marrion County
and State of Florida party of the first
part and Ellen M. Jackson, daughter
of the Said Archibald K. Mixson
Witnesseth, that the Said Archibald as
well as for and in Consideration of the
natural Love and affection which he
the Said Archibald hath and beareth
unto and toward the Said Ellen as
also for the better Maintenance Support
and livelyhood of her, the Said Arch
ibald has given granted, aleined enfeoffed
and confirmed and by these presents
doth give grant alein enfeoff and confirm
unto the Said Ellen her heirs and assigns
all the following described property to Wit
one bay horse about five years old, one
black Mare with blaze in face, one white
hind foot about Seven years old
and ten Cows and their Calves
Marked with crop, two Splits and Under
bit in one Ear under bit it in the other
Branded with the letters A.M. To Have
and To Hold the Said property hereby granted
and confirmed or mentioned or intended
So to be. With their and Every of their Appu
rtenances unto the Said Ellen her heirs
and assigns, to her and their Sole use and
behoof for Ever, and the Said Archibald
for him Self, his heirs Executors and
Assigns administrators, doth Covenant
and agree to and with the said Ellen
her heirs and Assigns by these presents
that She the Said her heirs and Assigns
Shall and May Lawfully from time to time
and at all times, here after peaceibly and
quietly have hold use posession and
Enjoy the Said property here by granted
and confirmed or mentioned or
intended So to be free clear and fully
discharged or well and Sufficiently Kept
harmless and undiminished from and against
all former and other gifts grants bargains
