State of Florida	)  This Indenture made
County of Alachua	) and entered into this 7th
day of May AD 1870.  Between Williams Edwards
party of the first part and J. Cooper Mathers
party of the second part, Witnesseth, that
for and in consideration of the sum of
Fifty Dollars, to the party of the first part
in hand paid they the party of the second part
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
the said party of the first part, hath bargained
and sold and doth hereby convey unto the
said part of the second part all that  - certain
tract or lot of land, lying in the Village 
of Micanopy and described as follows from due
West by the Public Square commencing
commencing at the corner of the lot occupied
by A.H. Mathers as a place of residence and
running along said Square south a distance
of thirty feet to another lot owned and occupied
by the Said A.H. Mathers and running East along
of Said lot for the distance of one Hundred and 
Five feet and thence South Thirty feet and
thence West one hundred and Five Feet to the
place of beginning.  To Have and to Hold the Said
lot of land and all the right improvements to and
appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise
appertaining to the only proper use benefit and
behoof of the Said party of the Second part
his heirs Executors and delivers, in fee simple for
ever, and the Said party of the first part hereby 
covenants and agrees to and with the Said party
of the Second part that – he is Seized in fee
the above described and granted premises
and that – he will warrant and defend the
to the Same against all claims or demands what
soever.  In testimony whereof the Said party of
the first hath hereunto Set his hand and
affixed his Seal on the day and year first above written
