tions in his hands against said Isaac B. Nichols
and whereas the Sheriff by virtue of said writs did
on the 12" day of December A.D. 1867 levy upon and seize
the property hereinafter described, and whereas the said
George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid did by vir-
tue of said writs and pursuant to the Statutes in
such cases made and provided, duly advertize the
said property for sale on Monday the 7" day of March
A.D. 1869, and did on that day sell the same at
public auction according to law to the said James
B. Dawkins of the County and State aforesaid for
the sum of five hundred and seventy dollars being
the highest bidder for the Same. Now therefore Know ye
that I the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff by virtue
of the said writs and of the Statutes in such cases made
and provided, and in consideration of the said sum
of five hundred and seventy dollars to me paid by
the party of the second part have granted sold and by
these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the
said party of the second part his heirs and as-
signs forever all the following property to wit; The
Equity of Redemption in Block 2 (two) Range 4
(Four) situated in the town of Gainesville and
known as the "Suwannee hotel property" together with
all the rights titles and interest of which the said Isaac
B. Nichols had in the said property jointly and severally
and the same to hold as fully as I the said Sher-
iff as aforesaid under said writs might, could, or
ought to sell and convey the same -
