Alachua County   } This Indenture made this Seven
     day of January Eighteen hundred and Seventy
     Between James M. Hawthorne and his wife Parisade
     Hawthorne of the County and State aforesaid of the
     first part and Augustus H. Johnson of the same
     of the other part, Witnesseth that the said James
     M. Hawthorne and Parisade Hawthorne his wife
     for and in consideration of the sum of Eleven
     hundred Dollars to then in hand paid at and
     before the Sealing & delivery of these presents the
     receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath
     granted bargained and sold and conveyed and
     doth by these presents, grant bargain sell
     and convey unto the said Augustus H. Johnson
     his heirs and assigns, all the tract or parcel
     of land lying and being in the County and
     State aforesaid on the Arredondo Grant
     in Township 11, Range 21, East to wit Sec
     24 and all that portion of land on Sec
     23 East of the line known as the Smither Survey
     numbering 300 acres more or less in said
     Section 23 Also the following tract or parcel
     of land described as follows to wit Commencing
     at the north west corner of Sec 25, 10 chains
     and links to a Stake thence East to the Eastern
     boundary of said Section 25 containing Sixty
     Six acres more or less also the following
     described Land in Sec 25, commencing at the
     South West corner of said Section running
     East 38 1/2 chains to a Cypress Swamp, thence
     North with the Meanderings of the Swamp to
     a Branch or Bay head, thence up said Branch
     or bay hed to a fence, thence West to a Stake
     on the Western boundary line of said Section
     25 thence South 19 chains to a place
     of beginning numbering fifty acres more or
     less. To Have and To Hold said tract or
     parcel of land unto him the said Augustus
     H. Johnson his heirs and assigns togather with all
     and Singular the rights, members appurtenances
     thereof to the same in any manner beloning
     to his and their own proper use benefit and
     behoof in fee simple and the said James
     M. Hawthorne and Parisade Hawthorne his wife
     for them selves their heirs Executors and adminis
     trators the said bargained premises unto the
     said Augustus H. Johnson his heirs and assigns
     Will Warrant and forever defend the right and
