presents that We Mary N. Bailey Cosmo
O. Bailey Charles F. Bailey Mary E. Bailey
and Cosmo O. Bailey of the Town of Gainesville
County of Alachua and State of Florida
as prochein Ami appointed under a
decree of Honorable Thomas S. Long
Judge of the Circuit Court of and for the
Suwane Judicial Circuit of Florida sitting
in Chancery dated May 26th AD 1868
for Henry J. Bailey Alexander C. Bailey
Orvill B. Bevill and Margaret R. Bailey
of the first part for and in consideration of
the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars
lawful money of the United States to us in
hand paid by John H. Mengert of the County
of Alachua and State of Florida of the second
part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have bargained, sold, remised, released,
transfered and conveyed and by these
presents do bargain sell remise release
transfer, and convey unto the said John H.
Mengert of the county of Alachua and State of
Florida of the second part, his heirs and assigns
forever all of our and each of our right title
interest and property forever of in and to a
            or parcel
certain tract^of land Situate lying and being
in the County of Alachua, and State of Florida
and known and described as follows to
wit = Commencing at a Stake Twenty three
and a half chains East from the half mile
stake of the Western boundary line of Section five
(5) each chain containing Sixty (66) Six feet
thence running south along the Western boundary
of the Six acre lot owned by Thomas H. Blake
four hundred and Twenty (420) feet; thence West
four hundred and Twenty (420) feet, thence north four
                (420)
hundred and Twenty^feet, thence East along the
                                   Twenty
public road four hundred and (420)^feet
to the place of beginning, containing four acres
more or less. To have and To hold the said 
described premises to him the said John
H. Mengert, his heirs and assigns forever in fee
simple. And we Mary N. Bailey Cosmo
O. Bailey Charles F. Bailey Mary E. Bailey
and Cosmo O. Bailey as Prochein Ami
for Henry J. Bailey Alexander C. Bailey Orvill B.
