This Deed made on this the Sixteenth day of March

ty between John S. Black of the State of South Car-
olina, of the first part and John E. Hicks of the town
of Gainesville in Alachua County in the State of
Florida, of the second part;
  Witnesseth = That for and in consideration of the sum
of five dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged, and of the sum of eight
thousand dollars; secured to be paid as follows:
One thousand dollars on the first of January Anno
Domini one thousand eight hundred seventy one
