Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that
I E.P. Lemon of the town of Gainesville County and State
aforesaid have made constituted and appointed and
by these presents do make constitute and appoint
R.A. Kendall of the State of South Carolina, my true
and lawful attorney, for me and in my name
place and stead to contract; and be contracted with, in
behalf of a certain mercantile business which I am now
conducting, and carrying on in said Town County and
State - to execute & sign all notes, receipts, papers, and contracts
whatsoever which may in anywise pertain to said business
and Execute the same in the name of R.A. Kendall
Agent, Giving and granting unto my said attorney full pow
er and authority to do all and perform every act and
thing whatsoever requisite; and necessary to be done, in and
about the premises, as fully to all intents, and purposes, as
might or could do if personally present, Hereby ratifying and
confirming all that my said attorney shall lawfully do or cause
to be done by virtue hereof-
