County of Alachua   }  This Indenture made this twenty second
(22d) day of December A.D. Eighteen hundred and sixty
eight, between James Sanders of the State and County
aforesaid, party of the first part and Josiah T. Walls of the
same place party of the second.
 Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consid
eration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand
paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these pres
ents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bar
gained sold and by these presents doth grant and convey un
to the said Josiah T. Walls the party of the second part all of that
Certain piece and parcel of land Known and described as
the north half of the North East quarter of Section number Thirty one
(31) in Township number Seven (7) south of Range number (19)
Nineteen East containing Eighty acres more or less lying and
being in the County of Alachua & State of Florida, To Hold Have
and to Hold the above described tract of land to the said party
of the second part, together (with all appurtenances) his heirs
and assigns forever in fee simple and the above premises
to the party of the second part his heirs and assigns the party
of the first part and his heirs and assigns will warrant
and forever defend against the claim or claims of all
persons whomsoever -
  In witness whereof the party of the first part hath hereun
to set his hand and seal this twenty second day of December

the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy personally came before me Flora A. Sanders
one of the parties of the first part to the above deed and to me
well Known as the identical person whose signature appears
above who being privately Examined apart from her husband
the said James Sanders says she of her own free
will and accord and without fear or restraint of her said
husband did sign seal and deliver said deed in con
nection with her said husband for the purposes therein
mentioned -
