This Indenture made and entered into This the Fourteenth
day of June in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight
hundred and Seventy. Between Edward Haile of the County
of Alachua and State of Florida party of the first and Watson
Porter and DeWarren L. Barton Partners doing business
under the firm name and Style of Porter & Barton of
said County and State party of the Second part =
Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and
in Consideration of the Sum of Sixteen Hundred Dollars
lawful money of the United States of America to him
in hand paid, at and before the Ensealing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
hath given granted bargained Sold and conveyed and by
these presents doth give grant bargain Sell and convey
unto the said party of the Second part all that certain
parcel or lot of land lying and being Situate in Alachua
County and State aforesaid in the Arredondo Grant
in Township Ten (10) Range Nineteen, 19, East & S. The
same being The Southern portion of the George I.F. Clark
grant and bounded as follows to Wit beginning on
the Southeast line of said Grant at a point Two
Hundred and nine feet from the East Corner Thereof
Thence running South Westerly along said boundary
to the South corner of said Grant Thence northwes
terly along the South west boundary of said Grant
one hundred and fifteen chains and Eighty Eight links
(115 ch. 88 l.) to a point nine chains and Twelve links
(9 ch. 12 l.) from the West corner of Said Grant Thence
north seventy one degrees and forty five Minutes (710 45')
east forty one chains and Thirty four links (41 ch. 34 l.)
to a point Two hundred and nine (209) feet from
the North East Boundary line of said Grant, Thence south
easterly on a straight line parallel to the North east
boundary of said Grant one hundred chains (100 ch.)
To the original point of Departure containing Three hundred
and ninety six (396) acres more or less With the
appurtenances an all the estate title and interest Therein
of the said party of the first part To Have and To
Hold the said Granted premises to said Porter & Barton
their heirs and assigns in fee simple and the said Edward
Haile his heirs and assigns shall the said Granted prem
=ises to the said Porter and Barton their heirs and assigns
forever warrant and defend against all adverse
claims whatsoever. In Witness Whereof the party of the
