Alachua County } This Indenture made and entered into
this the Twenty seventh day of July in in the year of our
Lord, eighteen hundred and sixty nine, by and between Watson
Porter and De Warren Barton, partners and traders doing
business under the firm name and style of Porter and
Barton, citizens of the County and State aforesaid, parties
of the first part, and Edward Haile of the same place
party of the second part
Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first
part, for and in consideration of the sum of two
hundred dollars to them in hand paid, at and before
the Sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt where-
of is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold and
conveyed, and by these presents, do grant, bargain, sell and
convey unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and
assigns, all that tract or parcel of land, situated, lying
and being in the County and State aforesaid, and
known and described as follows: Forty acres of Land, Situ=
ated in the Arredondo Grant, in Section twenty five
(25), Range nineteen (19), Township ten (10), bounded on the
west and south by lands belonging to Porter and Barton, on
the north by lands belonging to L.J. Patterson and Edward
Haile, and on the east by lands belonging to Edward Haile,
To have and to hold said tracts or parcels of land
unto the said party of the Second part, his heirs and as=
signs, together with all and Singular, the rights, mem=
bers and appurtenances thereof, to the same in any man=
ner belonging to his and their own proper use, benefit &
behoof, forever in fee Simple -
And the said parties of the first part, for them
selves, their heirs, executors and administrators, the said
bargained premises, unto the said party of the Second part
his heirs and assigns, will warrant and forever defend the
right and title thereof, against themselves and against |
