             the faithful performance of this contract the said Doan & Nicker
             son agree to give the said Smith one half of all the crops 
             raised on said land, the Corn and fodder to be di

 Cancelled   it is further agreed that the said Doan & Nickerson agree 
             to shall have the first Lien on said Smith's part of the crops to 
             reimburse them for any advances made him during 
             the season. Any violation of this Contract shall subject the 
             violator of this contract shall subject the violation to a forfeit
             ure of his interest in the crops

             This Agreement Made this first day of February AD
             1870 between Doane & Nickerson of Alachua 
             County State of Florida party of the first part 
             and Hector Williams of said County and State 
             party of the Second part for the purpose of Culti
             =vating about Seventy five acres of land in said 
             County and State Witnesseth that the said 
             Doane & Nickerson the first party agree to 
             furnish the forementioned Paper land, and seed to 
             plant the same also one animal and tools sufficient 
             to work said land, the party of the second part 
             agrees to furnish sufficient help and Cultivate said 
             land in a workman like manner to repair the 
             fences to clear the land of logs bushes and palmetoes
             and clear out the fence corners to plant about 
             two fifths in Corn the balance in Cotton with no
             Melon said Corn shall be hoed twice at least
             during the season, and when harvested agree to 
             one half the same in Doane & Nickersons Corn House
             and to stack or House the fodder, also to pick 
             the Cotton, and deliver it to Doane & Nickerson as 
             often as they think it necessary after it is picked 
             to be divided when gined to take good care 
             of all tools delivered to them to be kind & gentle
