Executed the foregoing instrument of writing for the purposes therein set forth Witness

Know all men by these presents that I Mary N. Bailey of the Town of Gainesville County of
Alachua and State of Florida relict of James B. Bailey late of the same place for and in
Consideration of the sum of one dollar to me paid at or before the Ensealing and de-
livery of these presents by the Mayor and Council of the town of Gainesville in the County and
State aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted remised released
and forever quit Claimed and by these presents do hereby grant remise release and for-
ever quit Claim unto the said Mayor and Council of the Town of Gainesville aforesaid
their successors and assigns forever all of the dower and thirds rights and title of dower
and thirds and all other right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever in
law and Equity of me the said Mary N. Bailey relict of the said James B. Bailey of in
and to all that Certain hereditament or parcel of land situated lying and being in the
County and State aforesaid known and described as follows to wit: Beginning at the
half mile stake on the Eastern Boundary line of Section five (5) of Township (10) ten of Range
(20) Twenty and running west (80) Eighty poles to a stake from thnce south fifty five (55)
poles to a stake, from thence East (80) poles to a Stake on the section line from
thence East into Section (4) Four of Township ten (10) Range (20) Twenty forty (40) poles and
nine (9) feet to a Stake, from thence north (15°) fifteen degrees west fifty one (51)
poles and five (5) feet to a stake, from thence north (13) and a half degrees East
(60) sixty poles to a stake from thence North (5°) five degrees west (27) twenty seven poles to a
stake, from thence west fifty five (55) poles six feet and Eight inches to a stake on the section
line and from thence along the section line to the point of beginning and Containing Sixty three (63)
acres and one quarter of an acre more or less And I do hereby grant remise release and
forever quit claim unto the said Mayor and Council of the said Town of Gainesville, the said
described piece or parcel of land with all the buildings and improvements thereon so that
neither I the said Mary N. Bailey my heirs or Executors or administrators nor any
other person or persons for me them or any of them shall have Claim Challenge or de-
mand or pretend to have Claim Challenge or demand any dower or thirds or any other
right title Claim or demand of in or to the said premises but thereof and therefrom
shall be utterly debarred and Excluded preventy these presents In testimony whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of May Eighteen hundred and seventy one (A.D. 1871)
