Alachua County   } Where, it is ordered by the Board of
County Commissioners, in and for Said County, that
the President of said Board do execute a deed of Convey-
ance of & to Lot Two (2) Block Three (3) Range
Four (4) being a lot lying in the Town of Gainesville
in said State and County, according to the
Surveyed plan of said Town, together with the heredi
taments and appurtenances to said premises belonging,
setting over and conveying to Edward Lewis of said Coun
ty, all and singular the said premises and appurten=
ances, the said Edward Lewis havin been the highest bidder
for and the purchaser of said lot, at a public
sale of the lots of said Town, had by order of the Board of Coun
ty Commissioners on the day of AD 1856 & having
paid the purchase money therefore-
      Therefore this Indenture witnesseth That for
and in consideration of Seventy five 75/100 Dol=
lars, the purchase money, to James B. Bailey Treas-
urer of the said County, in hand paid (the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged by Edward Lewis, the pur-
chaser, I Theodore W. Gass President of the Board
of County Commissioners in and for the County
of Alachua, State of Florida, in performance
