Sheriffs Deed

              County of Alachua } This Indenture made this Seventh
                                day of February AD 1870 Between Geo L.
              Barnes Sheriff of said County of the first part and Thomas
              F. King of the County of Alachua State of Florida of the second
              part Witnesseth that whereas by virtue of sundry writ of 
              Fieri Facias issued out of Circuit and County Courts
              for said County and to him the said Sheriff directed
              he was commanded, that of the goods and  
              chattles lands and tenements of Jeremiah Gamage
              he cause to be made the sum of 07/100 dollars
              which R.B. Wasson lately on the 2d day of March 1869
              togather with interest thereon togather with costs of
              suit as well as the sum of Four hundred Dollars
              thirty one 31/100 Dollars with interest thereon and
              costs of suit which Benjamin W. Powell lately on
              the 27th day of November AD 1869 recovered in our Circuit
              Court against Jeremiah Gamage and whereas I George
              L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of said 
              writ and on the 5th day of January AD 1870 levy
              upon and Seize the property hereinafter described
              and did by virtue of said Writ and pursuant to
              the Statutes in such case made and provided 
              duly advertize the said property for sale on the 7th
              day of February AD 1870 and did on that day sell the
              same at Public Auction according to law to Thomas
              F. King for the sum of Twenty five Dollars being the highest
              sum bid for the same, Now Therefore know ye that I
              the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of
              said Writs and of the Statutes in such case made and
              provided for and in consideration of said sum of
              Twenty five Dollars to me in hand paid by said Thomas
              F. King party of the second part have granted bargained
              sold and by these presents do grant bargain sell unto
              the said Thomas F. King party of the second part his
              heirs and assigns forever all the following property to wit:
              lands designated on Washington Map of survey
              of the Arredondo Grant as fractional Section
              Sixteen (16) Township Eleven (11) Range Twenty one (21)
              containing four hundred Sixty five 87/100 465 87/100 acres
              more or less, togather with all the rights title interests
              and Equities which the said Jeremiah Gamage had
              of in or to the same, To Have and To Hold as
              fully as I the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff
              as aforesaid might could or ought to sell and convey
              the same Given under my hand and Seal this the 7th day
              of February AD 1870                                              (LS)
