County of Alachua } This Indenture made this the thirteenth
                  } day of April in the year of our Lord
one Thousand Eight hundred and Seventy between Tamerlane
H. Cato of Alachua County and State of Florida of the first
part and W.W. Scott Trustee of the same place of the second
part Witnesseth that the said party of the first for and in 
consideration of the sum of Two hundred and Fifty nine
Dollars Dollars lawful money of the United States to him duly
paid before the delivery hereof hath bargained and sold
and by these presents doth grant and convey to the
said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
forever all that certain piece or parcel of land lying
and being in the County of Alachua and State of
Florida and better described and known as the South
half of lots number one and Two and lots number three
and four in Block number four and Range number
one according to the Original Survey of the Town
of Newnansville in the County and State aforesaid togather
with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and 
appurtenances and all the Estate title and interest of
the said party of the first part therein and they said party
of the first part doth hereby covenant and agree

with the said party of the first part that at the time of the
delivery hereof the said party of the first part is the lawful
owner of the premises above granted and seized thereof
in fee simple absolute and that he will warrant and 
defend the above granted premises in the quiet and
peaceable possession of the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns forever - In Witness Whereof I
the said Tamerlane H. Cato have herewith set
my hand and Seal the year and date above written

State of Florida  } Before the subscriber the Clerk of the
County of Alachua } Court in and for the County and State

that he saw Tamerlane H. Cato sign and deliver the within Deed
for the Express uses and purposes therein Specified
