                Alachua County   } This Indenture made this Twenty fourth
                                   day of May in the year of our Lord one
                Thousand eight hundred and Sixty four Between William Carroll
                party of the first and Louis Lanier & C.C. Hooker administra-
                =tors on the Estate of John Hooker deceased Parties of the first part -
                Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration
                of the sum of Six Thousand Dollars well and truly paid by the 
                said parties of the second part at and before the Sealing and delivery
                of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained
                sold and conveyed and by these presents doth bargain sell and
                convey unto the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns the
                following lot or parcel of land containing two hundred acres more or less
                situate lying and being in the Town of Gainesville and known & distinguished
                in the plan of said Town as Block Five (5) Range (6) Six & (7) seven, To Have
                and To Hold to the said parties of the second part his heirs and assigns said
                bargained premises with the appurtenances forever in fee simple & the said party
                of the first part said bargained premises shall and will forever warrant and defend
                with the right and title thereto unto the said parties of the second part
                their heirs and assigns from and against himself his heirs and assigns and against
                the claim of all persons whatsoever- In Witness Whereof the said party of the first
                hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written
