Sheriffs Deed
State of Florida }
County of Alachua } This Indenture made the
Sixth day of March AD 1871
Between George L. Barnes Sheriff of said County of
the first part, and of the County of Alachua
State of Florida of the second part Witnesseth
that Whereas by virtue of a writ of Fieri
Facias issued out of the Court for said
County and to him the said Sheriff directed
that of the goods and Chattles lands and tenements
of Enoch T. Geiger and James M. Brown
he cause to be made the sum of Three hundred
and Forty Eight Dollars and Fifty five Cents
with Interest thereon togather with costs of
suit which Gensler & Silberstein lately on
the 17th day of January AD 1871 recovered in our
Circuit Court against Enoch T. Geiger and
James M. Brown and Whereas I George L. Barnes
--------------------- as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of said
50ยข U.S.R. writ did on the 17th day of January AD 1871 levy
Stamp cancelled upon and Seize the property hereinafter described
--------------------- and did by virtue of said writs and pursuant
to the Statutes in Such cases made and
provided did advertise the said property
for sale on the 6th day of March AD 1871
and did on that day sell the same at
public auction according to law to Gensler &
Silbersteen for the sum of Tw hundred Dollars
being the highest sum bid for the same,
Know Ye therefore that I the said George
the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as
aforesaid by virtue of said Writs and of
the Statutes in such Case made and pro-
vided for and in Consideration of said Sum
of Two Hundred Dollars to me in hand
paid by the said Gensler & Silberstein party
of the Second part have granted bargained
and Sold and by these presents do
grant bargain and Sell unto the said Gensler
& Silberstein party of the Second part, his
heirs and assigns forever all the following
property to wit, The N1/2 of Sec 5 T10
R 18 S&E Containing three hundred and
forty acres more or less togather with all the
rights titles Interests and Equities which
the said Enoch T. Geiger had of, in or
to the same To Have and To Hold as
fully as I the said George L. Barnes
as Sheriff as aforesaid might could
