                  Know all men by these presents that I Henry C.
Dozier agent for William H. Chappell of the Town of Gainesville Alachua
County and State of Florida am held and firmly bound unto Joseph
H. Avera of the same Town County and State in the sum of Four hundred
dollars lawful money of the United States to be paid to the said Joseph
H. Avera his Executors administrators or assigns for which payment
well and truly to be made I bind William H. Chappell his heirs executors
administrators and assigns and each of them firmly by these presents
      Sealed with my seal - Dated this 1st day of February AD 1871
Eighteen hundred and seventy one.
       Now the condition of this obligation is such that if the above
bounden obligator shall on the first day of January next make execute
and deliver unto the said Joseph H. Avera (provided that the said Joseph
H. Avera shall on or before that day have paid to the said obligator the
sum of Three hundred and seventy five dollars with Eight per cent
interest from first February 1871. The price by said Joseph H. Avera agreed
to be paid therefor a good and sufficient conveyance in fee simple
with the usual covenants of all that certain piece or parcel of land
In Block 3 and Range 8 in The Town of Gainesville Alachua County and
State of Florida. Then this obligation to be void - otherwise to remain
in full force virtue and effect.
