This Deed made on this the twenty fourth day of February Anno Domini one
Thousand Eight hundred and seventy one (1871) between John W. Anderson
Sons & Co Merchants and Factors of the City of Savannah of the first part and
William Edward Lewis planter of the County of Alachua and State of Florida
of the second part Witnesseth as follows viz: For and in Consideration of the
payment by the said Wm Edward Lewis to the Said John W. Andersons Sons & Co.
of the just and full Sum of Six Thousand dollars the receipt whereof is by
these presents acknowledged: the said John W. Andersons Sons & Co have bar
gained, sold transferred delivered assigned and Conveyed and by these presents
sell convey bargain assign and deliver to the said Wm Edward Lewis his heirs
and assigns a certain deed of mortgage, together with all the debt and
Evidence of debt secured by said mortgage, the said mortgage being Executed
by Edward Lewis and by Martha A. Lewis to John W. Andersons Sons & Co. to
secure certain made and agreed to be made by said John W. Andersons
Sons & Co and being of record in Alachua County Florida To which said mortgage bearing
date November Fourth Eighteen Hundred and seventy and being the only mortgage
of record from said Edward Lewis and Martha A. Lewis to John W. Andersons Sons
& Co. in said County of Alachua, reference is here made as a part of this
deed. And the said John W. Andersons Sons & Co do further assign and transfer
to the said Wm Edward Lewis his heirs and assigns all their right title and
interest in said mortgaged premises under and by said deed of Mortgage
and the advances and loans made thereon without recourse of them.
  In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set
their hands and seals on this twenty fourth (24th) day of Feby Anno Domini one
thousand Eight hundred and seventy one.       }

                   Be it remembered that on this twenty fourth day of February in
the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and seventy one before me
John W. Burroughs a Commissioner for the State of Florida duly appointed
and qualified according to the laws thereof to take the acknowledgement of deed
et cetera to be used and recorded therein personally appeared Geo W. Anderson Jr.
