           Sheriffs Deed

State of Florida  }
County of Alachua } This Indenture made this second day of
January AD 1871 between George L. Barnes Sheriff of said County of the
first part, and Elias Bauknight of the County of Alachua State of
Florida of the second part Witnesseth that whereas by virtue of sundry
writs of Fieri Fascias issued out of the County Court and to him the
said Sheriff directed he was commaned, that of the goods and chattles, lands
and tenements of James Noland he cause to be made the sum of Two
hundred and sixty three 32/100 dollars with interest thereon together with costs of suit
as well as the sum of one hundred and forty seven 40/100 dollars with interest
thereon together with costs of suit, as well as the sum of Two hundred
and sixty three 32/100 dollars with interest thereon, together with cost of suit
which Elias Bauknight lately on the fifth day of September AD
1870 recovered of in our County Court against James F. Noland
and whereas I George L. Barnes as sheriff as aforesaid by virtue
of said writ, did on the 11" day of October AD 1870 levy upon and
seized the property hereafter described, and did by virtue of said writs, and
pursuant to the statutes in such case made and provided, duly
advertise the said property for sale on the 2nd day of January
AD 1871 and did on that day sell the same at public auction, accor-
ding to law, to Elias Bauknight for the sum of Four hun-
dred and one dollars being the highest sum for the same -
  Now therefore, know ye that I, the said George L. Barnes as sheriff
as aforesaid, by virtue of the said writs, and of the statutes in
such cases made and provided for, and in consideration
of said sum of Four hundred and one dollars to me in
hand paid by the said Elias Bauknight party of the
second part, have granted, bargained and sold, and by
these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Elias
