statutes in such case made and provided duly advertise
the said property for sale on the 7th day of March AD 1870 and
did on that day sell the same at Public auction according
to law, to J.J. Sealey - for the sum of one hundred and forty
Dollars being the highest sum for the same - Now Therefore
Know Ye that I the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as
aforesaid by virtue of said writs and of the Statutes in
such cases made and provided for, and in consideration
of said sum of one hundred and forty Dollars to me in
hand paid by the said J.J. Sealey party of the second
part, have granted bargained and sold and by these presents
do grant bargain and sell unto the said J.J. Sealey
party of the second part his heirs and assigns for ever all
the following Property to wit: the North East 1/4 of the
South East 1/4 of section Four (4) Range Eighteen (18)
Township nine (9) containing Forty acres acres more
or less togathe with all the improvements thereon, also
one lot in the Town of Newnansville with all the imp
rovements togather with all the rights, titles
of, in, or to the same, To Have and To Hold as fully as I
the said George L. Barnes, as Sheriff as aforesaid might,
could or ought to sell and convey the same -

of March AD 1870
