Finly & Finly lately on the 17th of January 1871 recovered against
Elias Earle as well as the sum of Four hundred twenty
three 05/100 dollars with interest thereon together with costs of suit
which Joseph E. Crenshaw lately on the 17 day of November
AD 1868 - recovered in our Circuit Court against S. Spenser
Elias Earle et al and whereas I, George L. Barnes as Sheriff
as aforesaid by virtue of said writ did on the first day of
February AD 1871 levy upon and seize the property here-
inafter described and did by virtue of said writs and
pursuant to the statutes in such cases made and pro-
vided duly advertise the said property for sale on the
6th day of March AD 1871 and did on that day sell the
same at public auction according to law to Mary L. Earle
for the sum of Two Thousand Three hundred and five dollars being the

highest sum for the same - Now^Know ye that I the said
George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of the
said writs and of the statutes in such cases made and pro-
vided for and in consideration of said sum of Two Thous-
and three hundred and five dollars to me in hand paid
by the said Mary L. Earle party of the second part have
granted bargained and sold and by these presents do
grant bargain and sell unto the said Mary L. Earle party
of the second part her heirs and assigns forever all the
following property to wit: Section Thirty Three Township
Eight Range Twenty Two S&E containing six hundred
and forty acres more or less together with all the rights
titles interest and Equities which the said Elias Earle
had of in or to the same To have to hold as fully as I
the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid might
could or ought to sell and convey the same.
