  This Indenture made this the eight day of September
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred &
sixty nine, between Robert B. Wasson of the Town of Gaines
ville Alachua County and State of Florida party of the first
part and Samuel T. Mansell of the same Town & County
& State party of the second part. Witnesseth that the
said Robert B. Wasson party of the first part for and in con=
sideration of the sum of one thousand dollars lawful money
of the United States of America to him in hand paid by the
said Samuel T. Mansell party of the second part the receipt
whereof is hereby expressly acknowledged by these presents, give
grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Samuel T. Man
sell, his heirs, and assigns a half interest to a certain lot of
land lying and in the Town of Gainesville County and
State aforesaid known and distinguished in the plan of said
Town as lot number (one) Block number three, Range number
(2) being the northern portion of said lot, South of the
Court House square running Eighty feet north and south
and fifty feet east and west together with all interest
right and title with the privileges thereto in any wise apper=
taining. To Have and to Hold the the above granted prem=
ises to the said Samuel T. Mansell, his heirs and assigns in
fee simple and the said Robert B. Wasson party of the 
first part, will and his his heirs, executors, and administra
tors, shall the said property to the said Samuel T. Mansell, his
heirs executors and administrators forever warrant and de=
fend against the lawful demands of all persons Excepting
the demands on a certain mortgage in favor of Stephen F.
Harvard which the said party of the second part binds him
self to discharge is far as the said party of the first part
is liable. In testimony whereof the said Robert B. Wasson
has hereunto set his hand and seal, this day and year
above written
