                agreement agrees and promises to prepare for and plant 
                and work and gather the Crop raised on Said land under the direction

                the fence up around said land and to have three hands at work every
                day and they do full hands tasks and give the Said D.W. Ridgell one 
                half of all that is made on Said land including Corn fodder 
                Cotton &c or enough thereof to fully Satisfy & Sufficiently pay him

5¢ Rev Stamp    may make me - And that I will not remove one pound of Cotton nor 
 Cancelled      One Ear of Corn until he is paid - In testimony Whereof we have

                Alachua County   } This agreement made this January 1st A.D. 1871,
                between D.W. Ridgell of the State of Florida & Alachua of the 
--------------- first part and George Tillman of the Same State & County of the 
5¢ US Rev Stamp Second part Witnesseth: hat the Said D.W. Ridgell agrees to 
Cancelled       furnish the Said George Tillman thirty five acres of land to 
--------------- Cultivate on what was formerly known as the Cunningham 
                Place in Alachua County & State of Florida a horse or mule 
                & feed for the Same the necessary farming implements and Seed 
                to plant the Said land and to give the Said George Tillman one 
                half of all that is made on the Said land - The Said George
                Tillman in Consideration of the above agreement agrees and 
                promises to prepare for and plant and work and gather the 
                Crop raised on Said land under the direction and Control
                of the Said D.W. Ridgell and Clear around & keep the fence 
                up around Said land and have three hands at work every
                day and they do full hands tasks and give the said D.W. Rigell 
                One half of all that is made on Said land,
                       The Said George Tillman furthermore binds himself
                and agrees to harvest And deliver to the said D.W. Ridgell or assigns 
                the Entire Crop that is raised on said land including Corn 
                fodder Cotton &c - or Enough thereof to fully Satisfy and 
                Sufficiently pay him for all the Advances of Whatever Kind 
                he the Said D.W. Ridgell may make me and will not re-
                move one Ear of Corn nor one pound of Cotton until he is 
                Paid -    In testimony Whereof we have hereunto set our hands
                and seals this the 11th day of March A.D. 1871.
