Alachua County } This agreement made this January 1st A.D. 1871
between D.W. Ridgell of the State of Florida Alachua County of the
first part And Soloman Joshua of the Same State and County
of the Second part - Witnesseth that the Said D.W. Ridgell
agrees to furnish the Said Soloman Joshua thirty five acres
of land to Cultivate on what was formerly known as the Cun
ningham Place in Alachua County State of Florida a horse
or mule & feed the Same - The necessary farming implements and
Seed and plant the Said land and give the Said Soloman Joshua
--------------- the half of all that is made on the Said land - The Said Soloman

Cancelled promises to prepare for plant work and gather the Crop raised
--------------- on Said land under the direction and Control of the Said D.W.
Ridgell and Clear around & keep the fence up around Said
land and have three hands at work every day and they do
full hands tasks and give the said D.W. Ridgell One half of
all that is made on Said land - The Said Soloman Joshua
furthermore binds himself and agrees to turn over to the said
D.W. Ridgell or assigns the Entire Crop raised on said land
including Corn fodder Cotton &c or Enough to fully Sat-
isfy and Sufficiently pay him for all the Advances of Whatever
Kind he the Said D.W. Ridgell may make me and will
not remove one Ear of Corn nor one pound of Cotton until
he is paid - In testimony Whereof we have hereunto set our
hands and seals this 11th the March A.D. 1871.
