of the County of Putnam State of Florida of the second part 
Witnesseth: That whereas by virtue of writ of Fieri Facias 
issued out of the Circuit Court for said County and to him 
the said Sheriff directed he was commanded That of 
the goods and Chattels lands and tenements of James D.
Saunders he Cause to be made the Sum of Eighty
Three 40/100 Dollars with interest thereon together with 
Costs of Suit which M.G. Joseph lately on the 
11th of May AD 1868 recovered in the Circuit
Court against James D. Saunders Whereas I
George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue 
of said writ did on the 1st day of November AD 1870
levy upon and seize the property hereinafter described 
and did by virtue of said writs and pursuant to the 
Statutes in Such Case made and provided duly 
advertise the Said property for sale on the 5th day 
of December AD 1870 and did on that day sell 
the same at public Auction according to law 
to Augustus Monroe for the Sum of twenty five
being the highest Sum for the Same - Now Therefore
Know ye that I the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff 
as aforesaid by virtue of the said writs and of the 
Statutes in such Cases made and provided for and 
in Consideration of said sum of twenty five dollars
to me in hand paid by the said Augustus Monroe 
party of the second part have granted bargained and 
sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell 
unto the Said Augustus Monroe party of the second 
part his heirs and assigns forever all the following 
property to wit: South half 1/2 of North East quarter
1/4 and South west quarter of South East quarter 1/4
and South half 1/2 of South West quarter 1/4 of Section 
ten (10) Township ten (10) Range twenty two (22) South
& East Containing 200 acres more or less together 
with all the rights titles interest and Equities which 
the said James D. Saunders had of in or to the same 
To have to hold as fully as I the said George L. 
Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid might could or 
ought to sell and Convey the Same Given under my 
hand and seal this the 6th day of December AD 1870
