to wit: beginning on the south east line of the George
I.F. Clark Grant at a point two hundred and nine
(209) feet from the south east corner of said grant - Thence
running south westerly along said boundary to the
south corner of said Grant Thence north westerly along
the south west boundary of said Grant one hundred
and fifteen Chains and Eighty Eight links (115 Ch 88 l) to a
point nine chains and twelve links (9 Ch 12 l) from the
west corner of said Grant Thence north seventy one de-
grees and forty five minutes (71° 45') East forty one chains
and thirty four links (41 Ch 34 l) to a point two hundred
and nine 209 feet from the north east boundary line of
said Grant Thence south easterly on a straight line
parallel to the north east boundary of said Grant one
hundred chains (100 ch) to the original point of depart
ure containing three hundred and ninety six (396)
acres more or less - Saving and Excepting out of said lands
forty (40) acres in section twenty six and twenty seven
Township ten Range nineteen S & E bounded on the
west and south by lands belonging to Porter & Barton north
by lands of L.J. Patterson and Edward Haile and East by
lands belonging to Edward Haile all of said lands herein-
before described being situated within the limits of the
"Arredondo Grant" Together with all and singular the ten-
ements hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto be-
longing or in any wise appertaining and the reversion
and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues
and profits thereof and also all the Estate right title interest
dower and right of dower property possession claim and
demand whatsoever as well in law as in Equity of the
said party of the first part of in and to the same and
every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances -
To have and to hold the aforesaid bargained premises together
with all and singular the rights members tenements here-
ditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging
unto the said party of the second part his heirs and
assigns to his and their own sole and proper use benefit
and behoof in Fee Simple - And the said party of the first
part for his heirs Executors and administrators do hereby
covenant with the said party of the second part his heirs
and assigns that he is lawfully seized of said premises
as of fee and has good and lawful right to sell and con-
vey the same and that he will and his heirs Executors
and administrators shall forever warrant and defend
the title to said premises unto the said John L. Barton
of the second part his heirs and assigns against the
claims of any and all persons whomsoever
