Alachua County   } This Indenture made this second day of June
in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and seventy between
James Doig Attorney in fact for A.R. Clifford and his wife
Sarah Jane Clifford and Mrs Adeline Lewis widow of the
State of South Carolina of the first part and Martha A. Miller
of the County of Alachua Fla of the second part Witnesseth,
That the said party of the first part for and in consideration
of the sum of Four Hundred dollars to him in hand paid
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted
bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain
sell and convey unto the said party of the second part his heirs
and assigns forever the following described property to wit:
All that certain parcel of ground or lot, parcel of the lots of
the town of Gainesville in said County of Alachua according
to the map of said Town numbered Block one (1) Range
Two (2) together with the tenements and hereditaments
thereto in any wise belonging: To have and to hold the said
granted premises unto the said party of the second part
her heirs and assigns in fee simple - And the said party
of the first part as attorney in fact as aforesaid doth and
will forever warrant and defend the said granted prem-
ises unto the said party of the second part her heirs Executors
and administrators against the claims of all persons
