according to the laws of the State of Florida and that his
Signature to the Same is genuine Witness my hand

                        Sheriff's Deed.
State of Florida  }
County of Alachua } This Indenture made this fifth day of De-
cember AD 1870 between George L. Barnes Sheriff of said 
County of the first part and Mary M. Dell of the County of 
Alachua State of Florida of the second part Witnesseth,
That Whereas by virtue of writ of Fieri Facias issued 
out of the Circuit Court for Said County and to him the 
Said Sheriff directed he was Commanded That of the 
goods and Chattels lands and tenements of Samuel B.
McLin he Cause to be made the Sum of one hundred 
and fifty dollars with interest thereon together with 
Costs of Suit which Dozier & Broome lately on the 17th 
day of April AD 1866 recovered in our Circuit
Court against Samuel B. McLin and whereas I George 
L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of said 
writ did on the 1st day of November AD 1870 levy upon 
and Seize the property hereinafter described and did 
by virtue of said writs and pursuant to the Statutes 
in such Case made and provided duly advertise the 
Said property for Sale on the fifth day of December
AD 1870 and did on that day Sell the Same at public 
Auction according to law to Mary M. Dell for the Sum 
of one hundred and sixty one dollars being the highest
Sum for the same - Now Therefore Know ye that I the said
George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of the
Said writs and of the Statutes in Such Case made 
and provided for and in Consideration of said Sum of 
one hundred Sixty one dollars to me in hand paid
by the said Mary M. Dell party of the second part have
granted bargained and sold and by these presents do
grant bargain and sell unto the said Mary M. Dell
party of the second part her heirs and assigns forever 
all the following property to wit: A two story house
and Lot Situated in the town of Newnansville Con-
taining two acres together with all the rights titles 
interests and Equities which the Said Samuel B.
