                Sheriff's Deed.
State of Florida  }
County of Alachua } This Indenture made this Sixth day of December
A.D. 1870 between George L. Barnes of said County of the first
part and William Edwards of the County of Alachua State of Florida
of the second part Witnesseth That Whereas by virtue of a writ
of Fieri Facias issued out of the Circuit Court for said County
and to him the said Sheriff directed he was Commanded
That of the goods and Chattles lands and tenements of Thomas M.
Colbert he cause to be made the sum of Six hundred and
Thirty seven 75/100 Dollars with interest thereon together with
Costs of suit which James A. Mason lately on the 24th day of
July A.D. 1867 recovered in our Circuit Court against Thomas
M. Colbert and whereas I George L. Barnes as Sheriff as a-
foresaid by virtue of said writ did on the 18th day of Sep-
tember A.D. 1869 levy upon and seize the property herein-
after described and did by virtue of said writ and pursuant
to the Statutes in such Case made and provided duly advertise
the said property for Sale on the 6th day of December A.D. 1869,
and did on that day Sell the same at public Auction according
to law to William Edwards for the sum of five hundred
dollars being the highest Sum bid for the same - Now There-
fore know ye That I the Said George L. Barnes Sheriff
as aforesaid by virtue of the said writs and of the Stat-
utes in such Cases made and provided for and in Con-
Sideration of said Sum of Five Hundred Dollars
to me in hand paid by the said William Edwards
