David A. Frier and whereas I George L. Barnes as Sheriff as
aforesaid by virtue of said writ did on the 4th day of January
A.D. 1871, levy upon and seize the property hereinafter de-
scribed and did by virtue of said writs and pursuant to
the Statutes in such Case made and provided duly ad-
vertise the said property for sale on the 6th day of February
A.D. 1871, and did on that day Sell the same at public auc-
tion according to law to Joseph G. Little for the Sum of
Sixty 50/100 Dollars being the highest Sum for the same. Now
Therefore Know ye That I the Said George L. Barnes as Sheriff
and
as aforesaid by virtue of the said writs^of the Statutes in such
Cases made and provided for and in Consideration of said
Sum of Sixty 50/100 dollars to me in hand paid by the said
Joseph G. Little party of the Second part have granted bar-
gained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain
and Sell unto the said Joseph G. Little party of the Second
part his heirs and Assigns forever all the following
property to wit: The South half of lots one (1) & Two (2)
in Block four (4) Range one (1) Situated in the
Town of Newnansville together with all the rights titles
interests and Equities Which the said David A. Frier
had of in or to the Same - To have and to hold as fully as I the
said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid might
Could or ought to sell and Convey the Same.
Given under my hand and seal this the 6th day of
February A.D. 1871
