This Indenture made this 27th day of November AD 1856 between Charles
W. Brush & Eugene Van Ness by Julia A. Van Ness his attorney,
surviving Executors of the last will and testament of Doctor Ne-
hemiah Brush late of New York deceased of the first part and
F.A. Shannon C. Rain Martin Geiger & J.M. Sparkman Com-
missioners in and for the County of Alachua in the State of Florida
of the second part Witnesseth That the said parties of the first
part by virtue of the power and authority given to them in and by
the said last will and testament and for and in consideration 
of the sum of Four hundred dollars lawful money to them
in hand paid at or before the Ensealing and delivery of these
presents by the said parties of the second part the receipt where-
of is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold and
conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey
unto the said parties of the second part and to their success-
ors in office for the use and benefit of the said County of
Alachua - all that certain piece or parcel of land situate
lying and being in a certain tract of land known as the "Ar-
redondo Grant" in the said County of Alachua and which is
designated on a certain map of said grant made in
the year 1846 by Mssrs Burr & Washington as the South
East quarter of the North East quarter of section five (5) in
Township Ten (10) in Range Twenty (20) containing forty (40)
