State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that I
Columbia County } George M. Bates lawful attorney of the heirs
of David Ewarts deceased of the State and County aforesaid for
and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and fifty
dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do give
grant sell and convey to Joseph D. Colding of the County
of Alachua and State aforesaid his heirs and assigns a
certain tract or parcel of land situated in the town of Mic-
anopy on the East side of the public square opposite
the Carolina House begining at the North west corner of
a certain of land conveyed by R.S. Stoughton to Jerremiah
Gambage on the 18th day of March 1853 and running
south thirty five feet on the public square line thence East
one hundred feet thence north thirty five feet to the line di=
viding said Stoughton and Gamage and thence west one
to the
hundred feet^begining point with all the appurtenances there
to belonging or in any wise incident and more particularly des=
cribed as a lot of land conveyed by Jeremiah Gamage to
McIntosh and Powell by deed bearing date sixteenth
day of October Eighteen hundred and fifty five to have and
to hold the same unto the said Joseph D. Colding his heirs
and assigns to their use and behoof forever the titles
whereof the said G.M. Bates will warrant and defend to the
said Joseph D. Colding his heirs and assigns forever against
the lawful claims and demands of all persons, - said grantor
conveys and Josh D. Colding recieves said lot on the condition
that said grantee his heirs and assigns in perpetuity shall
not vend upon said premises any ardent spirits in less
quantities than one quart and that on violation of said
condition said premises shall revert to said grantor and
for the benefit of the heirs of David Ewarts deceased:
