This Indenture made this day of August in the year
one thousand Eight hundred and seventy one between Joseph
D. Colding of the vilage of

State of Florida } County of Alachua } Know all men by these presents that where= as by virtue of sundry writs of Fiera Facias issued out of the County Court for said County the Sheriff of said County was commanded That of the goods and chattles lands and tenements of Charles P. Crawford he cause to be made the sum of Three hundred and fifteen 50/100 Dollars which Henry Bradford lately on the fourth day of August AD 1871 recovered in our County Court against Charel P. Crawford as well as the sum of One hundred and Ten 33/100 Dollars with Interest thereon to= gether with costs of suit which John P. Thompson lately of the fifth day of August AD 1871 recovered in our County Court against Charles P. Crawford and whereas I George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of said writs did on the 5th day of August AD 1871 levy upon and seize the property hereinafter described and did by virtue of said writs and pursuant to the statutes in such case made and provided, duly advertize the said property for sale on the 4th day of September AD 1871 and did on that day sell the same at public auction according to law to John J. Thompson for the sum of Twenty five Dollars being the highest sum for the same Now there= fore Know Ye that I the said George L. Barnes as sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of the said writs and of the Statutes in such case made and provided for and in consideration of the said sum of Twenty five dollars to me in hand paid by the said John J. Thompson party of the second part have have bargained sold and delivered and by these presents do bargain sell and deliver unto the said John J. Thompson party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all the following property to wit one sugar crusher mill - one sugar mill - one sugar Evaporator, one Juice Trough, one Charcoal Tub, one Grist Mill, together with all the rights titles interests and equities which the said Charles P. Craw ford had in or to the same To have as fully as I the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid might could or ought to sell the same Given under my hand and seal this the fourth day of September AD 1871 Geo L. Barnes (LS) In presence of } E.M.
