Alachua County  } Know all men by these presents that I
Mary E. Davis, wife of James B. Davidson of aforesaid
County & State having hitherto to wit on the Sixteenth day of
January last Executed to Said James B. Davidson a certain
power of attorney, wherein and whereby I authorize and empow
er Said James B. Davidson to bargain, Sell and exchange
and dispose of certain goods, wares & merchandise the
Same being my Separate property (as witnessed by the Record
of the Same in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
of said County dated January 22nd A D 1869) and having
further empowered said Davidson to carry on and con
duct a certain business of Merchandise the Town of
Gainesville in said County & State and is now condu
cting Said business to bind me and my Separate property by
Signing as my agent any notes Bonds deeds or any mercan
