and under the laws of the State of Florida, to take the acknowledgement of
deeds &c to be used or recorded therein personally appeared James
T. Soutter and John McRae to me known to be the persons who
executed the annexed deed by them sealed and subscribed, and they
severally acknowledged the execution thereof, to be their free act and
deed as Trustees of the Florida Railway Company, for the uses
and purposes therein mentioned.

State of Florida } This indenture made on this the tenth (10th) day of 
Alachua County   } October AD Eighteen Hundred and seventy one
between Carlos Huntley party of the first part and Frances E. Gause
party of the second part all of the said County and State.
Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part for and in consideration
of the sum of Seven Hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said
party of the second part on and before the ensealing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have
bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, transferred conveyed
and confirmed, and do by these presents bargain sell, alien, remise
release, transfer convey and confirm unto said party of
the second part her heirs and assigns all that right title
interest and property in and to that certain tract or parcel of
Land situated lying and being in the Town of Gainesville in the
County and State aforesaid and known and described on the
map of the public survey of said town made in the year AD
Eighteen Hundred and sixty six viz the North Half of Lot
one (1) of Block three (3) in Range Seven (7).
To Have and to Hold the said described premises, to her the said
party of the second part her heirs and assigns in fee simple forever
together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining
and the said party of the first part in consideration of the premises
aforesaid the right and title to the said described lands in the
said party of the second part her heirs and assign will forever
warrant and defend
   In Testimony Whereof the said party of the first part
has hereunto set his hand and Seal this the tenth day of
October in the year first above written
