Legislature of the State of Florida entitled an act to
provide for the creation of corporation and prescribes
their general power and liabilities and for the building
and equiping opperating said Live Oak and southern
Rail Road Shall be provided for by the By Laws of
said company to be adopted in accordance with
these articles and the laws of the State of Florida at
a meeting of the stock holders which shall be called
for the purpose of adopting by laws at such time as
the President may deem best
                In Testimony whereof we have

Articles of Corporation of The Live Oak and Southern
Rail Road Company, Whereas the Legislature of the State
Florida passed an Act, entitled, An to provide for the
creation of corporation and to prescribe their general powers,
& liabilities approved by the Governor on the 8th day of
August 1868, Therefore for the purpose of complying with
said act in the formation of a company to be known
as the Live Oak and Southern Railroad Company,
and for the purpose of building, equiping and operating
a railroad from Live Oak in the County of Suwannee,
State of Florida, through the Counties of Suwannee and Columbia
(if it comes on the line) into the County of Alachua
and connecting with the Tampa Railroad, or any
other Railroad company. We John N. Krimminger, H.A.
Wyse, N.H. Walker, D.W. Tedder, N.R. Gaylord, George
W. Allen, and C.T. Irvine and associates do associate
ourselves together under the name and Style of the Live Oak
and Southern Railroad Company, and do agree that by
that name the company shall be known and by said
name we will use sue and be sued, buy sell, hold and convey
and have conveyed thereto any personal, real, or mixed
property or Estate, to receive donations of Land or property and
by said name we will contract and be contracted with and do
all things else necessary and proper for the building equiping and
operating said Live Oak and Southern Railroad
