This Indenture made the 26th day of September
one thousand Eight hundred and seventy one between
Thomas C. Ellis and Sarah A. Ellis his wife of the
County of Alachua and State of Florida of the first
part and James Thwait lately from the State of
Iowa and now residing in this County of the Second
Part__  Witnesseth that the said party of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum of Two
hundred Dollars lawful Money of the United States
to them in hand paid before the delivery hereof hath
bargained and sold and by these presents doth
grant and convey to the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns forever all that cer-
tain piece or parcel of land lying and being
in the said County of Alachua and State of Florida
and which is known and described as follows to wit
The South East quarter of the Southwest quarter in sec-
tion twenty Nine (29) in Township nine (9) South of Range
twenty (20) East containing forty (40) acres more of less.
Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments
and appurtinances and all the estate title and interest
of the said party of the first part therein and the said
party of the first part doth covenant and agree with
the said party of the second part that at the time
of the delivery hereof The said party of the first part
is the lawful owner of the premises above granted
and seized thereof in fee simple absolute and that they
will warrant and defend the above granted premises in 
the quiet and peaceable posession of the said party
of the second part and also all the estate right title
interest Dower and right of Dower property posession
claim and demand whatsoever as well in law as in Equity
  To have and to hold the above granted bargained and
described premises with the apertainances unto the said par-
ty of the second part his heirs and assigns to his and their own
proper use benefit and behoof forever

hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year above writ-
