                          Be it remembered that on
this eleventh day of December in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and seventy one before
me Arthur W. Knapp a commissioner for the state of
Florida residing in the city of New York in the county &
State of New York personally came Asahel G. Darwin
and Kate V. his wife both known to me to be the
individuals described in and who have executed
the foregoing deed and the contents thereof being by
me first made known to them they severally ack
nowledged to me that they had signed sealed
and delivered the said deed as their voluntary act
and deed and the said Kate V. in a private
examination by me separate and apart from
her husband further acknowledged to me that she
signed sealed and delivered the said deed freely
and without any fear or compulsion of 
                     In witness whereof I have hereunto
                     set my hand and affixed my
(Seal)               official seal at New York in the County
                     and state aforesaid this 11th day of
                     December AD 1871

                   This Indenture made this the 28th
day of February In the year of our Lord one thousand
Eight hundred and sixty seven between James B. Brown
and Anna W. Brown his wife of the first part and
J.T. McMillan of the second part of the state and
county aforesaid Witness that the said parties of
the first part for and in consideration of the sum
of one hundred and sixty two 50/100 dollars lawful
money of the United States of America to him
paid in hand at and before the ensealing and deliver
ing of these presents doath grant sell release and
convey to the said J.T. McMillan party of the
second part his heirs and assigns forever all that
parte certain peace or parcial of land
