                    Personally appeared before me a Justice of
the Peace of Alachua County and State of Florida Augustus
Monroe and Josephene his wiffe to me well known and
the said Augustus Monroe acknowledged to me that he had
executed the foregoing Deed for the purpose therein expressed
on the day and year therein mentioned and the said Josephene
Monroe his wife being by me Separately examined separate and
part from her said husband Augustus Monroe acknowledged
that she executed the foregoing instrument of writing for the
purpose therein expressed and relinquished all the Dower
or right of Dower in or the same without any fear
threat or compulsion of or from her said husband
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal

This Indenture made the tenth day of January in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy one
between Augustus Monroe and Josephene his wife of the
County of Putnam and State of Florida of the first part
and Edmund Rains of the County of Alachua and State
of Florida of the second part Witnesseth, that the said
party of the first part for in consideration of the sum
of two hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand
paid by the said party of the second part the receipt
is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and
by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said
party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns
forever, all of the described lots of land situated in the
County of Alachua and State of Florida known
and described as follows to wit, The South West quarter of
the North East quarter and the west half of South East
quarter of North East quarter of Section 10 Township 10
Range 22 Containing Sixty acres together with all and
Singular the hereditaments and appertenances thereunto
belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion
and reversions, remainder and remainders rents issues
and profits thereof, and also all the estate right
title interest claim or demand whatsoever of him
the said party of the first part either in law or equity
of in and to the above bargained premises and every part
and parcel thereof. In witness whereof the said party of the
first part have hereunto set their hands and seal the day an year
