                  } This Indenture made this the Seventh day
of December AD 1872 between George L. Barnes, Sheriff of Said
County, of the first part, and James H. Roper,
of the County of Alachua State of Florida of the Sencond part
witnesseth, That whereas, by virtue of Sundy writ of Fieri Facias
issued out of the Circuit Court for Said County, and to him
the Said Sheriff directed, he was commanded, That of the goods
and Chattles, lands and ienements of Daniel June
he cause to be made the Sum of one hundred and fifty
Six dollars and twenty cents.
with interest thereon, together with costs of Suit which John T.
Mathews, lately on the 12th & 13th day of November AD 1867 recovered
in our Circuit Court against Daniel R. June and whereas
I, George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of Said
writ, did on the 1st day of Nov AD 1871 levy upon and Seize
the property hereinafter described and did by Virtue of Said
writs, and pursuant to the Statutes in Such Case made
and provided, duly advertise the Said property for Sale on the
4th day of December AD 1871 and did on that day Sell the Same
at Public auction, according to law, to James H. Roper
for the Sum of twenty three 50/100 Dollars being the highest Sum
for the Same, Now therefore, know ye, that I, the Said George L. Barnes
as Sheriff as aforesaid, by virtue of the Said writs and of the
Statutes in Such Cases made and provided for, and in Consid=
eration of Said Sum of twenty three 50/100 dollars to me in
hand paid by the Said James H. Roper party of the sec=
ond part, have granted, bargained and Sold, and by these
presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the Said James
H. Roper party of the Second part, his heirs and assigns
forever, all the following property, to wit The Interest of Daniel
R. June on Sec 7 T 10- R21 and the fractional part of Sec
tion 18 - all in Town Ship 10 - R20 - Sec 12 T-10 R19 S & E Containing
in all, 1323 acres (thirteen hundred and twenty three) more
or less Together with all the rights, titles, interest and equities
which the Said Daniel R. June had of, in, or to the Same, To
have to hold as fully as I, the Said George L. Barnes as Sheriff
as aforesaid might, could, or ought to sell and convey the Same
Given under my hand and seal this the fourth day of December
