Alachua County   } Before me H.S. Harmon Clerk of
the Circuit Court in and for said County personally
came George L. Barnes Sheriff of said County who
being duly sworn says that that he executed the fore=
going deed for the uses purposes and consideration.

This Indenture made the sixteenth day of February
in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy
two (1872) between J.H. Roper of the town of Gainesville
in the County of Alachua and State of Florida of
the first part and Joseph G. Little of the same Coun=
ty and State of the second part
                       Witnesseth that the said party
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum
of Eight hundred dollars lawful money of the United
States to him in hand paid before the delivery hereof
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath
bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant
and convey to the said party of the second part his
heirs and assigns forever all that certain piece or parcel
of land lying and being in the Town of Gainesville
County of Alachua and State of Florida and which is
known and described as follows to wit The north half
of the lot formerly occupied by A.T. Banks (200) two
hundred feet east and west by (100) one hundred feet
north and south lying on the east side of University
street and bounded on the North by the Freedenburg
lot on the East by Mrs Bevill's lot on the south
by J.R. Hagues lot and on the west by J.H. Ropers
lot Known as the Oak Hall lot and containing (1/2)
one half acre more or less together with all and singular
the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances and all
the Estate title and interest of the said party of the
first part therein. And the said party of the first
part doth hereby covenant and agree with the said
party of the second part that at the time of the de=
livery hereof the said party of the first part is the
