State of Florida  } Before me William Edwards Judge of
County of Alachua } the County Court for Alachua County
                    personally came David P. Newsom who
being duly Examined by me acknowledges that he executed
the foregoing indenture for the purposes therein executed
and Set forth Signed in my presence this 12th day of
February A.D. 1872.

                  This Indenture made on the twentieth day
of July A.D. one thousand eight hundred and Seventy
between John H. Mengert of the aforesaid County and State
of the first part and George K. Broom of the Same
place of the Second part witnesseth, that John H. Mengert
of the first part, for and in consideration
of the Sum of Seven Hundred and fifty (750$) dollars
lawful money of the United Stated to him in hand paid
by the Said George K. Broom of the Second part before the Sealing
and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, hath granted bargained and Sold aliened re=
mised released Conveyed and Confirmed, and by these presents
doth grant bargain Sell alien remise release Convey and
confirm unto the Said George K. Broom of the Second part
and to his heirs and assigns forever all that certain lot
parcel and portion of land lying and being in the
State and County aforesaid and Known and described
as follows to Wit: Commencing at a Stake twenty three
and a half chains east from the half mile Stake of
the Western Boundary line of Section five (5) each chain
containing Sixty Six (66) feet thence running
