owned by Thomas H. Blake Four hundred and twenty (420) feet
thence west four hundred and twenty (420) feet thence
North four hundred and twenty (420) feet thence east along the
Public Road Four hundred and twenty (420) feet to the
place of beginning, containing Four (4) acres more or less.
to have and to hold the Said described lot of land with all
the improvements Building tenements and Hereditaments
thereunto belonging, to him the Said George K. Broom his heirs
and assigns Forever in fee Simple.
And the Said John H. Mengert for himself and his heirs the Said
premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of Said party
of the Second part his heirs and assigns against the Said party
of the first part and his heirs and against all and Every person
whomsoever, lawfully Claiming or to Claim the Same Shall and
will warrant and by these presents forever defend.
In Witness Whereof the said party of the first part has here=
unto Set his hand and Seal the Day and year first above

the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby relinquish
to Said George K. Broom forever all my Dower and right of
Dower of in and to the premises described and Set forth in the
foregoing Deed.  Witness my hand and Seal this the Second
day of August AD Eighteen hundred and Seventy.
