  Whereas M. & S. Houseman, of Huntington, in the
County of Huntington and State of Indiana, did
obtain Letter Patent of the United States for an Improved
Pocket Corn Sheller, which Letter Patent bear date of
the 11th day of December, 1866. No 60,375.
  And Whereas, Jacob Weaver, Jr., and Alfred H. Jones
Merchants of the City of Pittsburgh trading under the firm
name of Weaver & Jones purchased of the aforesaid M. & S.
Houseman, the Rights for the State of Florida which pur
chase has been recorded in Liber F page 335 Trans
fers of Patents, in US Patent Office, at Washington
And Whereas Thaddeus Foster of Gainesville Florida
is desirous of acquiring an interest therein Now this
Indenture Witnesseth that for and in consideration of
the sum of Fifty dollars to us in hand paid, the receipt
of which is hereby acknowledged, we have granted, sold and
set over, and do hereby grant, sell set over unto said
Thaddeus Foster all the right, title and interest which
we have in the said invention, as secured to us by said
Letters Patent, for, to and in The County of Alachua
State of Florida, and in no other place or places; the
same to be held and enjoyed by the said Foster, for
his own use and behoof, and the use and behoof of
his legal representatives, to the full end of the term for
which said Letters Pattent are granted, as fully and
entirely as the same would have been held and
enjoyed by us had this grant and sale not been
made, we agreeing to supply said Corn Sheller
here at the rate of Thirty two dollars per hundred
cash, not less than fifty to be ordered at a
time. The Right to manufacture excepted
