Alachua County   } This Indenture made on this the twenty seven
th day of February AD one thousand Eight hundred and seventy
two, between J.W. Childs, of the said County and State, party
of the first part, and Eugene M. Childs of the County of Washtenaw
State of Michigan party of the second part.
Wittnesseth, That the said party of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of Three Thousand Five hundred Dollars
($3500.00) to him in hand paid, by the said party of the second
part on and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained
sold aliened remised released transfired conveyed and
confirmed and do by these presents bargain sell alien
remise release transfir convey and confirm unto said
party of the second part his heirs and assigns all his
right title intrest and property of in and to that
certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being
in the Town of Gainesville in the County and State afore=
said and known and described on the map of the public
survey of said town in the year AD one thousand Eight
hundred and sixty six viz: The South half of the lot one
(1) of Block Three (3) in Range Seven (7) also all that
other tract or parcel of land in said County known and
described as section thirty six (36) in Township nine (9) Section
one (1) Section two (2) Section twenty six (26) Section thirty five
(35) and section thirty six (36) in Township ten (10) all in Range
Eighteen (18) south and East containing Three Thousand Eight
Hundred and forty (3840) acres more or less to have and to hold
the said described premises to him the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple, together with
all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appertan-
ances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining
and the said party of the first part in consideration of the
premises aforesaid the right and title to the said described land
in the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
will forever warrant and defend.

hereunto set his hand and seal this the day and year first
above written signed sealed and delivered J.W. Childs
