Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents, That
I Wilkinson Call of the County of Duval State of
Florida in consideration of the sum of One Dollar to
me in hand and by me received do hereby bargain, Sell, grant, and
convey unto Richard H. Black, Charles Williams, Henry
Snowden, Richarad Shivery, Edward L. Young, Allen M. Jones
Trustees of the County aforesaid and their successors in office
which successors shall be chosen or appointed as hereinafter
provided - the following described premises situated in the County
and State aforesaid to wit, One acre of Land Beginning
at the South west corner of the south East quarter of section 8
Township 11 S T 18 East Running East 210 ft, thence
north 210 ft, thence west 210 feet, thence South 210 feet to the
place of Beginning, it being part of the Baughman place
near Archer in Alachua County Fla Together with all
the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances, with every right
privilege, title, interest and estate, reversion, remainder and
easement thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining
to Have and to Hold for Free School purposes, for the education
of the children of all citizens of the County, as now defined
by the laws of the State General Government, and those who
may be hereafter provided for by competent legislation forever
Whenever a vacancy shall occur in the position of either of the
Trustees by death, resignation, removal from the County or
other cause, the remaining Trustees shall within Sixty days
thereafter, elect a competent person to fill such vacancy
But in case of failure on their part to do so, then the
superintendent of Public Instruction of the State shall, on the
recommendation of the Board of public Instruction for the
County in which the premises are located, appoint a com-
petent person to fill the vacancy. A certified copy of the
proceedings of the election by the Trustees, or an official copy
of the appointment by the Superintendent of Public Instruc
-tion respectively, Shall be filed in the office of the Clerk of
the Court of the County, to be by him recorded in the
record of deeds, the said Wilkinson Call do hereby cov-
enant with the said R.H. Black, Chas Williams
