section one in Township nine South of Range Twenty East
containing Thirty four 13/100 acres more or less. To have and
to hold the said described premises to the said Ruben
Bennett his heirs and assigns to his and their own
use forever; And I the said J.W. Duren covenant with
the said Bennett his heirs and assigns that I am law
-fully seized in fee of the said premises, that they are
free from all incumbrances, that I have a good right
to sell the same as aforesaid; and that I will warrant
and defend the same to the said Bennett his heirs
and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons
And Eliza Duren the wife of the J.W. Duren aforesaid in
consideration of the sum of one dollar to her paid the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hereby
releases to the said Ruben Bennett his heirs and as-
signs all right title and interest to or in any Dower
in the aforesaid premises.
In testimony whereof I the said J.W. Duren (together
with Eliza Duren my wife) have hereunto set our
hands and seals, this the 23 day of Sept AD 1869

Hamilton County  } Before me the subscriber a Justice of 
the peace within and for said County personally appea-
-red the above named J.W. Duren and Eliza Duren his
wife who in due form of law acknowledged the above
indenture to be their act and deed and desired that
the same might be recorded as such. The said Eliza
Duren being of full age and by me examined separate 
and apart from her said husband and the contents of
the foregoing indenture being first made and known
to her declared that she did voluntarily and of her own
free will and accord seal and as her act and deed deliver
the same without any coercion of her said husband.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal this the 23 day of Sept 1869
